While Indian senior men’s cricket team’s fiercest rivalry is with Pakistan, it seems for the U-19 team, it is turning out to be the Bangladesh side. Four years after the ugly fight which saw India and Bangladesh players getting involved in physical fight, a similar incident happened during the IND U19 vs BAN U19 match in the ongoing U-19 World Cup 2024.
The incident happened on the second delivery of the 25th over. Bangladesh spinner Ariful Islam bowled a full delivery which Indian skipper Uday Shaharan paddled to short fine leg for a single. However, a frustrated Ariful Islam said some heated words to the Indian captain.
Uday also gave a response to Ariful. The umpire eventually had to intervene to stop the heated conversation.
