Team India skipper Rohit Sharma added a cherry on top of the cake with the ball as India picked up a comprehensive victory over Netherlands in their final league stage game of World Cup 2023. And making a return to bowling after 4284 days in ODIs, Rohit picked up a wicket too like Virat Kohli did.

Yes, you read it right, the Indian skipper did have a go with the ball and he didn’t return empty handed. Rohit Sharma wrapped up the Netherlands innings by picking up a wicket of the final delivery of his first over. India defeated Netherlands by 160 runs, as they gear up to face New Zealand in the semi-finals of World Cup 2023. What is to be noted here is that the Indian skipper was bowling after a gap of seven years.

Rohit Sharma’s last wicket came way back in 2012 against Australia. The final wicket of the IND vs NED clash meant that the Hitman had added a scalp to his name after as span of 4284 days.
