Soumya Sarkar: India’s future generation of cricketers have taken a cue from Virat Kohli & Co and displayed aggression against Bangladesh during their semi-final match in the Emerging Asia Cup. India A player Nikin Jose took a stunning low catch to dismiss Soumya Sarkar and gave a fitting send-off. Things turned nasty when Harshit Rana said a few things to the Bangladeshi batter when he was not ready to walk despite Jose claiming a clean catch.
It needed Sai Sudarshan’s intervention to calm things down as Sarkar was given out by the on-field umpires. It was a vital wicket as the Bangladeshi batter could have taken the game away from the Indians. The southpaw’s wicket turned the game in Yash Dhull & Co’s favor as they beat Bangladesh by 51. India will now face Pakistan in the Emerging Asia Cup finals on Sunday, July 23.
