One of IPL’s most successful franchise Mumbai Indians on Thursday unveiled their new jersey ahead of the upcoming IPL 2024 season. MI uploaded a video on X (formerly Twitter) that featured various aspects of their most recent jersey. The team also provided a link so that supporters could purchase the new uniform.
The five-time IPL champions stuck to their traditional blue-gold shade with a bit of variation in design. The 2024 season’s jersey has been designed by the renowned designer Monisha Jaising. The jersey, representing the unbreakable bond between the team and its passionate fanbase ‘Paltan’, showcases Mumbai Indians’ pride and a design that embodies the spirit of Mumbai.
The design, which draws inspiration from initialism, uses the initial M arranged in a grid format on an art deco pattern with a play of thick and thin lines in royal blue hues that reflect a crisp and accurate geometry. Imperial blue is used by Jaising to convey dependability and empathy, while royal blue is associated with strength and confidence.
