Hardik Pandya is gearing up for the IPL 2024 season in every way possible. From hitting the gym, doing yoga, and now playing some street cricket with fans in Mumbai, the all-rounder is doing it all. The newly appointed Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper has been at his best to have some fun off the field ever since his ankle injury in October last year.
Pandya can be seen with a bat in his hand along with Star Sports presenter and anchor Jatin Sapru.
Following a surprise announcement of Hardik Pandya taking over MI’s captaincy from Rohit Sharma, fans have shown their ire towards the franchise and the cricketer. Rohit, who is one of the most successful captains in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, has won five IPL titles. By playing cricket with fans in Mumbai, Pandya might be trying to win the love of the fans and announce himself as a fan favorite.
However, the true test of Pandya will be when he finally leads the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. With former skipper Rohit and Jasprit Bumrah as his deputy, it’ll be interesting to see how he handles one of the most successful teams with a star-studded line-up. With a title run in 2022 and a final last year, the pressure to succeed in his first year as the MI captain will be immense.
