Senior batter Glenn Maxwell played an outrageous ramp shot in a Big Bash League (BBL) match between Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades on Tuesday (December 2). Thanks to Glenn Maxwell’s efforts with the bat, Melbourne Stars went on to clinch an easy win over the Renegades in a crucial match.
Speaking more on Glenn Maxwell, the right-handed batter scored 32 runs off just 15 balls as his side completed a dominating win over the Renegades. Maxwell also scalped one wicket with the ball. As a result, he was adjudged player of the match. “To win four in a row means a lot to our fans. Loved watching Thomas Rogers bat. It’s a nice feeling at the moment. We have got a great fan-base. Hopefully, we can continue to perform well,” said Maxwell after the match.
Speaking about the match, Renegades batted first in a rain-curtailed match. The Men in Red only managed to post 97/7 in their allotted 14 overs. The Stars had no problems in chasing the total down as they completed the chase within 12 overs. With that win, Melbourne Stars have reached third in the points table of Big Bash League 2023/24.
