WATCH: Furious Mickey Arthur goes inside dressing room after watching Pakistan’s poor bowling

Pakistan director Micky Arthur was shocked after seeing Pakistan bowling attack in the PAK vs AFG World Cup match in Chennai.

Pakistan cricket team director Mickey Arthur was left furious after watching Pakistan’s bowling performance in the ongoing World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan at Chepauk. Chasing a total of 283 to win, the Afghani side got off to a brilliant start as the opening duo of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran put on 100+ runs for the opening wicket. As a result, the Men in Green had to suffer their first ever defeat against Afghanistan in ODIs.

Pakistan were poor in field and with ball

Speaking more on Aruthur’s reaction, in his very first over, Usama Mir bowled a short and wide delivery, which was smashed by Ibrahim Zadran for a boundary. After watching this loose delivery, Arthur lost his cool and went inside the dressing room. His gesture clearly suggested that he wasn’t happy with the way Pakistani bowlers were executing their plans.

“Yes, we have a lost against Afghanistan. Yes, it hurt us a lot. The runs were on the board. I think we didn’t bowl well enough. Yes, we are not up to the mark. In the World Cup, we need to tick all three departments. If we fail in any one of the departments, you are gonna lose,” said Pakistan skipper Babar Azam.

I think yes. We started well while bowling, but we couldn’t take wickets. All credit to Afghanistan. They did well in all 3 departments, and hence they won. We need to do well in the coming matches. We didn’t play good cricket, and hence we are losing,” he added.
