The incident took place in the 22nd over of the game. The sixth over for Shadab Khan in the game and he picked up 2 wickets by giving away just 2 runs. But it was the wicket of the 18-year-old Gulsan Jha that became one of the highlights of the game.

A clever delivery from Shadab Khan saw the spinner bowling into the pads from a back-of-a-length delivery. Jha goes down on his leg and attempts to go big for a slog hit. The ball hits the top edge of the bat and takes the aerial route into the night sky.
Down comes Fakhar Zaman who races 20 yards or so from the deep wicket region and jumps in the air to execute an inch-perfect dive and thereby take a blonder of a catch.

Pakistan began their Asia Cup 2023 campaign in a thrilling fashion. The hosts defeated minnows Nepal by 238 runs to significantly increase their Net Run Rate. Batting first Pakistan amassed a massive total of 342 runs on the board. Skipper Babar Azam registered a stunning 151-run knock while Iftikhar Ahmed joined hands to slam his maiden ODI ton.
In reply, Nepal was bowled out for 104 runs in 24 overs. Sompal Kami (28) and Aarif Sheikh (26) were the only decent scores while the rest of the team managed to score in single digits.
