Warner notched up a commendable fifty in his farewell appearance in red-ball cricket, contributing significantly to Australia’s comprehensive victory over Pakistan by eight wickets in the New Year’s Test at Sydney. This triumph secured a series win and claimed a 3-0 whitewash for Australia in the three-match Test series on their home turf.

Amidst an emotionally charged crowd, David Warner made his way into the dressing room, receiving a poignant standing ovation as he wrapped up his Test career. In a touching moment, the visibly moved Warner presented his helmet and gloves to a young fan, creating a cherished memory for the lucky spectator as he retired into the dressing room.

The AUS vs PAk win marks the conclusion of David Warner’s illustrious Test career, spanning an impressive 12 years. The left-handed batsman participated in 111 Tests for Australia, amassing a remarkable total of over 8500 runs with an average of nearly 46.
