What Pakistani fans were dreading the most Down Under, it is happening currently. Their side is getting absolutely smashed in the AUS vs PAK 1st Test at Perth. Despite having their spearhead, Shaheen Afridi, in their arsenal, Pakistan’s bowling lineup has looked toothless.
And with the score reading 100 for none, David Warner forgot that he was playing Test cricket and went down on one leg and scooped the ball for a maximum.
David Warner and his partner, Usman Khawaja, both look in fine touch, scoring over 4 runs a click. However, Warner decided he’d take on Afridi and destroy whatever confidence the Shan Masood-led side had left.
On a full ball outside off, Warner decided to sit down and scoop the ball over long leg. The short left-handed batter fell down in the process, but he had done what he wanted by then.
David Warner & Usman Khawaja show poise amid controversies
It was only last week that former Australia pacer Mitchell Johnson made a scathing remark on Warner. The pacer clamied the Warner does not deserve a ‘hero send-off’. A lot was said about the same, but Warner chose to answer on the field instead.
Similarly, Khawaja wanted to show solidarity with people in Palestine but was denied the right to do so. People were supporting and disagreeing with him, but he silenced them all with his innings in Perth.
