India’s T20 World Cup celebration parade in Mumbai on Thursday drew a huge crowd in the Marine Drive as the T20 World Champions embarked on an open bus to share the joy of winning the trophy with the general public of the cricket-crazy nation.

However, the celebration left the Marine Drive in a sorry state, with lots of sandals, shoes and other stuff seen lying around on roadside in the night. However, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation did a splendid job of cleaning the busy road within just a few hours as Mumbaikars woke up to a clean Marine Drive on Friday morning.
India’s T20 World Cup celebration drew a huge gathering as people poured down the streets in numbers to catch a glimpse of the T20 World Cup heroes in action. However, the huge crowd invited a number of problems including people being hurt in stampede. 11 people had to be admitted in hospitals after sustaining injuries.
Apart from the injuries, many people lost their shoes and sandals in the jam-packed crowd, leading to the a mess after the parade was over. However, BMC worked hard throughout the night to ensure people woke up to a clean Marine Drive.
