England senior all-rounder Ben Stokes smashed a swashbuckling century in their World Cup match against the Netherlands. To note, this was Ben Stokes first century in the World Cup. The left-handed batter took his time in the middle as wickets continued to fall from the other end. However, Stokes did not let his guard down and formed a very important partnership with Chris Woakes. Stokes century came in just 78 balls as he stroked as many as six fours and six maximums.

Stokes innings came to an end in the last over of the first innings. The left-handed batter smashed 108 runs in just 84 balls with six fours and an equal number of sixes. Meanwhile, England innings came to an end as they posted a massive total of 339 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Apart from Stokes, Dawid Malan missed out on a well-deserved century. All-rounder Chris Woakes also played an excellent hand of 51 runs.
