Shah was seen fist-pumping and urging the crowd to cheer louder as India made its way into the dugouts.

India vs Pakistan is a rivalry which brings out the emotional side of players, fans and officials alike. The IND vs PAK match in the T20 World Cup at New York on Sunday was no exception either. The outcome resulted in another heartbreak for Pakistan and his fans. The Indian team, fans and officials on the other hand celebrated like never-before. BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who usually remains calm and composed, was captured celebrating India’s win with full fervour from the stands.

Jay Shah shows his emotional side after India’s victory

In a video captured after India successfully defended 119 runs, Shah was seen in jubilant mood. The BCCI secretary was seen fist-pumping and urging the crowd to cheer louder as India made its way into the dugouts.

Needless to say, India vs Pakistan rivalry transcends the cricket field and goes into the realm of long-standing political conflict. So it is natural for Jay Shah, who is also the son of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah in addition to being the BCCI secretary, to be excited about beating arch-rivals Pakistan.

India prevail in low-scoring thriller

To talk about the match, India came out on top in a low-scoring thriller against their arch-rivals. Pakistan looked favourite to win after bowling India out for 119 but Jasprit Bumrah and the Indian bowling unit pulled off a magnificent display to restrict Pakistan to 113. A thrilling win demands celebration and Jay Shah surely didn’t disappoint.
