The all-rounder’s inspired fielding helped India pile the pressure on Australia on Day 2 of the IND vs AUS Oval Test. Patel was at his acrobatic best as he ran out Mitchell Starc.
Axar Patel, a substitute fielder, displayed his amazing fielding prowess by brilliantly hitting Mitchell Starc out of the game. The Delhi Capitals star covered the ground quickly and hit the stumps while diving to find Mitchell Starc short. Such was his conviction, Patel raised his finger to signal out even before the umpires arrived at the decision.

After pushing the ball towards mid-on, Starc took a dangerous single, but he failed to factor in the skill of the left-handed Axar Patel, and ultimately paid the price for his oversight.
