WATCH as Team India ft. Kohli, Rohit look battle ready for IND vs SA 1st Test

Virat Kohli has an exceptional record in South Africa, while Rohit Sharma has struggled in the fast and bouncy conditions.

The IND vs SA 1st Test is just a day away, and the Indian batters are gearing up for the South African challenge. Before the Boxing Day Test in Centurion, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma hit the nets to prepare for the final time. The two senior statesmen of the India cricket team were not the only ones to gear up for the Proteas’ bowlers.

In a video uploaded by BCCI, Kohli and Rohit, along with other Indian batters like Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Ravindra Jadeja, were seen toiling in the nets, visualizing what could be coming their way on December 26.

This last practice session for the IND vs SA 1st Test is of high importance. All the Indian batters, barring Virat Kohli, are either playing for the first time or have a poor record. Rohit and KL have an average of under 30 in South Africa. Gill, Jaiswal, and Iyer will be playing their first Test in these foreign conditions, while Abhimanyu Easwaran hasn’t even made his debut yet.
