Watch: ‘Akshay Kumar Yadav’ Mumbai Indians prepare to welcome Suryakumar Yadav in unique way

Surya missed the first three IPL games because the National Cricket Academy (NCA) delayed clearing him to play after he had groin surgery in January for a sports hernia.

Fan excitement for the Mumbai Indians (MI) has been palpable ever since it was announced that Suryakumar Yadav will be returning to the team. The team’s official social media accounts released a special video prior to SKY’s comeback in which his teammates offered their own assessments of the gifted hitter.

Surya missed the first three IPL games because the National Cricket Academy (NCA) delayed clearing him to play after he had groin surgery in January for a sports hernia. On April 3, however, there were reports stating that SKY had now been cleared by the NCA and might play in the Sunday, April 7, matchup against Delhi Capitals (DC). The Indian cricket player will also reportedly return to the MI camp on Friday, April 5.

Befor SKY’s comeback, Mumbai Indians shared a hillarious video on their social media channel where they asked four uncapped players who would be arriving at the MI camp,  to which all four of them described Surya in their own way. Shams Mulani’s hilarious remark, in which he addressed Surya as “Akshay Kumar Yadav,” was the most notable.
