He put both his fingers on his ears in a bid to shut his critics by bringing out the ‘No haters’ celebration. Fans were surprised to see the Caribbean spinner taking a leaf out of KL Rahul’s celebration after winning the match for the hosts.
Not only did Hosein bring out the celebration after winning the game, but during the first innings of the game, he replicated the same celebration after taking Sanju Samson’s wicket.
With this win, West Indies now boats of having a comfortable 2-0 lead against India in the 5-match T20I series. Now, if the Men in Blue will have to turn things around they have to win the remaining 3 games at all costs to win the series.
After Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav departed early, Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma anchored the innings for India. But after Kishan’s dismissal, on came Sanju Samson who looked aggressive from the very first ball, eager to score big runs.
But the spinner took full advantage of the situation and with a clever short-pitched delivery, claimed Samson’s wicket who left the crease in order to play a big shot and was ultimately stumped out. With Samson gone, Hosein brought out his trademark celebration.

Towards the end of West Indies’s innings who were tasked to chase 153 runs, Akeal Hosein and Alzarri Joseph played a crucial knock to help the hosts bag the win. Hosein faced 10 deliveries where he managed to score 16 runs with 2 fours. His vital knock was crucial for West Indies to win the game and take a huge advantage in the ongoing series.
After winning the game, a jubilant Hosein who scored runs and scalped 2 wickets brought out his celebration where he plugged his fingers on both of his earns in a bid to shut the comments of haters from reaching his ears.
