Washington Sundar provided clarity for his Twitter followers after his profile seemed to be hacked a few days ago. On Saturday, Sundar issued an apology on Twitter acknowledging that his account had been hacked and that the recent tweets from that account were not really written by him. Earlier this week, the Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder’s official Twitter account shared a number of tweets related to cryptocurrencies.
“Hey guys, I want to clear that the last few tweets were NOT made by me as I am NOT associated with any of the content that was posted on my Twitter handle. The issue has been resolved now, and I have undertaken the necessary precautions to secure my account. My sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding and continuous support,” read the note shared by Washington.
The Indian Premier League team Royal Challengers Bangalore’s account was also hacked twice, and before that, Krunal Pandya’s account was also infiltrated, so it wasn’t the first time an Indian cricketer’s account had been compromised.
The Indian all-rounder is currently recovering from the hamstring injury he suffered during the IPL 2023 season, missing many games for SRH as a result. In seven games, the 23 year-old grabbed three wickets at an average of 48.66 and an economy of 8.26.
He scored 60 runs with the bat, with a 24 not out best score, an average of 15, and a strike rate of 100. The Tamil Nadu player suffered split webbing in his bowling hand during the previous IPL, which was another ailment he had experienced.
