Sundar provides four overs of quality spin bowling and he is also handy with the bat. Hence, interest was always expected to be high for him. The bidding initially started out as a two-way battle between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings, but SRH joined the party at INR 7.75 crore. Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants also joined the bidding, but SRH’s bid of INR 8.75 crore turned out to be the winning bid.
