While the Pakistan Cricket Team may not be making noise on the field, off-field they are sure making enough noise to keep their fans entertained. The latest one to stir off-field controversy is Waqar Younis. After Pakistan suffered its second loss in the World Cup to Australia, Waqar joined Aaron Finch and Shane Watson for a post-match chat. With the two Aussies beaming with a smile, Waqar created a stir by saying, “I am a half-Aussie.”
Waqar’s controversial remark to Star Sports left Finch, and Watson in splits. While everyone thought the former cricketer is ashamed to call himself a Pakistani, turns out Waqar is indeed half-Aussie.

The former Pakistani pacer is married to Pakistani-Australian doctor Faryal, and the family lives Down Under at Catle Hille in New South Wales. Waqar and Faryal are blessed with three children. Currently, the Pakistani cricketer is in India as one of the broadcasters for the World Cup.

Waqar’s cheeky reply has not gone down well with the majority of the Pakistani fans. Already, with so much controversies regarding the World Cup, the latest one of Waqar has not been liked by Pakistani fans. One of the netizens commented by saying, “You are first Pakistani always remember that. Another one commented, “While you may have got Australian citizenship Waqar Bhai, but you are representing Pakistan in the broadcasting panel.
Speaking about the AUS vs PAK match, Babar Azam & Co were simply no match to Australia, who completely dominated them with bat and ball. Batting first, Australia scored a mammoth score of 367 and later bundled out Pakistan for just 305.
Pakistan have now lost two successive games and are currently fifth on the points table with four points.
