Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant is flooding with emotions. The ace southpaw is gearing up to return to action for the first time in over a year and a half. Ahead of his first match the DC skipper is nervous, jittery and equally excited to be back in the mix of things.
Rishabh Pant got his much awaited medical clearance from the NCA last week. This means the destructive southpaw is now fit to play full throttle in IPL 2024. Delhi Capitals retained Pant as the captain. Pant is slated to both bat and keep for the Capitals in the mega tournament.
“Jittery, nervous, excited…all of it, but at the same time, just happy, being able to come back to professional cricket. I’m just looking forward to playing my first game tomorrow,” Rishabh Pant said as Delhi Capitals prepare for their first match in IPL 2024 against Punjab Kings.
Ahead of returning to the field, Pant expressed his feelings. He claimed that it is a different feeling taking the field every time. The 26-year-old further added that his aim is to bat as much as possible.
Rishabh Pant Determined to Bat long
“Every time I take the field, it’s a different feeling altogether. I just wanted to bat as much as I could and get better every day. I don’t think much ahead, I take one day at a time, and give my 100%,” Pant added.
