Speaking at the post-match presentation, Hasaranga highlighted how this spell was important for him on his comeback. The spinner had been on the sidelines for over four months as he was recovering from injury.
“I came back after 4 and half months and I want to thank everyone who supported me during that period. I last played LPL and after that I haven’t played cricket. I worked really hard to make a comeback, I played 2 domestic games before this game and I am really happy with my performance. We have a very balanced (T20I) side and we know the opposition well and we will try to do our basics right as a team,” Hasaranga said.
