Sunrisers Hyderabad have been dealt with a major blow as all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has been pulled out of IPL 2024. Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC), in a letter to BCCI, has explained why the star has to pull out of the tournament.
SLC pulls out Wanindu Hasaranga from IPL 2024
As per Cricbuzz, SLC has written to the BCCI stating that the 26-year-old has to undergo rehabilitation and rest to heal his left ankle and will not be available for the season. As per the report, he has been advised for precautionary rest in Dubai by an expert.
“I believe so,” the player’s manager, Shyam, told Cricbuzz. “Sri Lanka Cricket has written to the BCCI informing them about his unavailability. He went to Dubai for medical advice and stayed there for three days. Given the current situation, the expert’s advice is that he should rest rather than participate in the IPL this season.”

While the Lankan played the series against Bangladesh in the previous month, he played in considerable pain, the report suggested.
