During the IND vs NZ 3rd Test in Mumbai, fans broke out into "KL Rahul, RCB chants", appealing to the player to join RCB for IPL 2025

Lucknow Super Giants have released KL Rahul ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. After leading the team in multiple seasons, the keeper-batter will now go under the hammer in the auction that will take place in late November. RCB fans are more than happy to welcome Rahul to their side for the next season and they didn’t waste any opportunity in conveying it to Rahul.

InsideSport was a part of the audience for IND vs NZ 3rd Test in Wankhede stadium in Mumbai where a section of fans started imploring KL Rahul to join RCB. The crowd broke into chants of “Rahul RCB” while he was fielding near the boundary ropes. Interestingly, KL Rahul admitted recently that he wouldn’t mind returning to RCB once again.

KL Rahul’s departure from LSG comes as no surprise especially after he was schooled publicly by franchise owner Sanjeev Goenka following the thrashing at the hands of SRH in IPL 2024. Although the two claimed that everything was fine between them, there was no call taken on Rahul’s retention until late October.
