In celebration of World Heritage Day on April 18, a wax figure of former India captain, Virat Kohli, is set to be unveiled at the Nahargarh Jaipur Wax Museum. Anup Srivastava, the Founder-Director of the museum, disclosed that the unveiling of Kohli’s statue marks the addition of the 44th wax figure to the museum’s collection housed within a nearly 300-year-old fort.
The anticipation for Kohli’s wax replica has been palpable, driven by emotional requests from tourists, particularly children and youth enamoured by the cricket icon.
“Kids and young girls are crazy for Virat Kohli. So, a decision was taken that a wax figure of Kohli would be installed in the museum which already has statues of Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Since Kohli is known for his aggressive playing style, we chose to give the statue a similar look,” Srivastava said.
