India bowling coach Morne Morkel heaped praise on Virat Kohli's leadership role and how it will help boost the intensity of the youngsters ahead of IND vs AUS 1st Test

India cricket team bowling coach Morne Morkel heaped praise on veteran Virat Kohli‘s leadership, claiming that it will have a profound impact on the youngsters. The former South African pacer’s comments come ahead of IND vs AUS 1st Test in Perth. The Men in Blue will be led by Jasprit Bumrah in the absence of Rohit Sharma but Kohli will certainly have a decisive role to play, more as a leader than as a batter.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of IND vs AUS 1st Test, Morne Morkel noted that Virat Kohli’s intensity and professionalism in the nets will take the game of the youngsters in Team India to a different level. Kohli, who was known for his aggressive attitude on field as captain, is no stranger to dealing with Australia – not with just technique but with his enthusiastic approach on field.

The intensity and professionalism that Virat Kohli brings is top, always putting him under pressure in nets. For youngsters to witness that, it’ll take their game to a different level,” Morne Morkel said.
