Virat’s animated chat with CSK’s Khaleel leaves fans wondering if King fired warning

After their intense stare down during CSK vs RCB match, Virat Kohli was seen having an animated conversation with CSK's Khaleel Ahmed

Virat Kohli was seen having an animated chat with Chennai Super Kings pacer Khaleel Ahmed after the CSK vs RCB tie on Friday. RCB clinched a 50-run win at the MA Chidambaram stadium, ending their 17-year wait to beat CSK in their own home ground. Kohli’s chat with Khaleel came after the duo had a stare down during the contest.

What did Kohli tell Khaleel?

Videos of Kohli’s animated conversation with Khaleel went viral on social media. Fans took to X to wonder if the RCB batter had fired a warning to the CSK pacer after their heated moment on the field on Friday.

Stare-down contest between Khaleel and Kohli

Khaleel Ahmed celebrated an LBW appeal against Virat Kohli, convinced he had dismissed the star batter. However, the umpire disagreed, and CSK opted for a review, only to lose it as Kohli was given not out. Frustrated but determined, Khaleel followed up with a sharp bouncer, which Kohli attempted to pull but failed to connect. This led to an intense stare-down between the two, adding more drama to the contest.

Kohli’s frustrating knock vs CSK

Kohli was far from his fluent best during a 30-ball 31 but he did switch gears after copping a blow on the helmet when he mistimed a shot against Matheesha Pathirana.

That fuelled Kohli to hit the Sri Lankan pacer to the fence a couple of times, but the RCB mainstay never looked in control against Noor Ahmed and ended up smashing him down the leg-side to Rachin Ravindra at deep midwicket. Virat Kohli walked off in sheer frustration, and you could understand why – the Master had just started to get going.

Kohli did not look comfortable at the start of his innings, surviving a testing over from Khaleel Ahmed whose loud appeal for LBW was turned down by the umpire – CSK reviewed but replays showed Kohli was safe.
