Virat Kohli has all the accolades to his name and is undoubtedly the best player of this generation. But is he better than Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar, or Sir Viv Richards? According to Lucknow Super Giants‘ (LSG) coach, Justin Langer, the batter is the greatest player of all time.
Virat Kohli, the best player I’ve ever seen: Justin Langer
Talking about the all-time greats, Langer placed Kohli ahead of everyone. He even put him ahead of a former Australian great, Allan Border, and praised the star Indian batter for his energy. He said:
“Virat, of course, and I’ve said this publicly a lot of times. He’s probably the best player I’ve ever seen in my life. This is coming from a cricket tragic, and I love Viv Richards and Allan Border. I played against Martin Crowe. These great players are obviously Brian Lara and Sachin, but Virat’s energy is extraordinary.

What separates Kohli from other greats?
According to Langer, the RCB batter’s fitness, spirit, and energy are unparallel. After his slump from 2020 to 2022, the LSG coach claimed that he was happy to see Kohli back in full flow, but getting him out was more important. He added:
He’s so fit. His energy on the field, running between the wickets, and he’s just got this incredible spirit. So I love watching him play. I was glad we got him out in the game the other day. Yeah, that was very happy. I was happy. I didn’t want to see him back then. I was happy to see him go.”
