This impressive figure surpasses the previous record held by Bollywood stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s wedding photo, which sits at 16.2 million likes.

The caption for Kohli’s record-breaking post simply reads: “Couldn’t have dreamt of a better day than this. God is great and I bow my head in gratitude. We finally did it. Jai Hind.”

India’s path to victory wasn’t easy. The final against South Africa, another undefeated team in the tournament, was a nail-biting thriller.
