In their previous meeting in the 2023 IPL, Lucknow Super Giants had chased down a massive total against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. After that win on April 10, Gautam Gambhir had put a finger to his lips while looking at the crowd during an emotional celebration. On Monday, after RCB defended a low total, Virat Kohli was equally charged up and had even asked the Lucknow crowd to be silent when he completed a catch to dismiss Krunal Pandya early in the evening.
Meanwhile, Kohli has been in excellent touch with the bat in the competition. The right-handed batter is placed fourth in the most runs list of IPL 2023. So far Kohli has amassed 364 runs in nine outings at an average of 45.50. He is playing at an astonishing strike rate of 137.88. RCB are slated to take on Delhi Capitals in their next encounter of IPL 2023. The match will be played on May 6 and Kohli will be raring to play another match-winning knock for his team.
