Virat Kohli scores his first-ever century in Champions Trophy and completes 82nd ton overall during IND vs PAK.

India’s great batter and veteran Virat Kohli scored his 82nd international century. This epic inning came in Dubai when India was chasing a modest target of 242 runs against Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy. This is Virat Kohli’s first-ever century in the Champions Trophy history and 4th century against Pakistan overall. It was more like revenge for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy loss against Pakistan at The Oval, England.

Virat Kohli’s knock against Pakistan

Coming at number 3 after Rohit Sharma’s dismissal, Virat Kohli played a stable innings. He added some runs with Shubman Gill and gave him some freedom to score runs. after Gill’s dismissal, Kohli anchored the innings with Shreyas Iyer and added 114 runs for 3rd wicket. The duo amazingly batted with constant pace and didn’t feel pressure during the chase. In the end after Shreyas and Hardik Pandya’s wicket, Kohli played to final shot to complete the chase and his century.

Virat Kohli’s century in ODI

Virat Kohli scored his 51st century in ODI cricket. In 2023, against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium in the ODI World Cup, Kohli became the first-ever batter to score 50 ODI centuries surpassing the record of India’s great Sachin Tendulkar who scored 49 ODI tons in his career.
