India cricket team veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will arrive in Chennai on Thursday ahead of the training camp for IND vs BAN Tests. The members of the Test squad will take part in the camp that will commence on Friday and will go on till September 18. India will take on Bangladesh in the 1st Test in Chennai from September 19 onwards.
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli to join Team India in Chennai today
Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been on a break since the conclusion of IND vs SL ODI series. The duo were exempted from participating in the ongoing Duleep Trophy, along with Jasprit Bumrah, while other Test team players were a part of the opening round matches.
Rohit Sharma has been sweating it out in the gym and was seen training hard during his break. The Hitman was also seen spending time with India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar during his vacation, working on his fitness and technique ahead of the upcoming Test season.

Virat Kohli, on the other hand, flew to London to be with his family after the series against Sri Lanka. The batting maestro will link up with the rest of the team for the training camp ahead of the Bangladesh Tests. The Bangladesh Tests will mark King Kohli’s return to the longest format of the game for the first time this year. Virat missed the five-match Test series against England earlier this year.
