Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has backed Rishabh Pant to take over from Virat Kohli as India’s next captain in the longest format of the game. Replying to a journalist, Yuvraj wrote that Pant has good game reading skills and could be groomed into a leader.

Yuvraj Singh’s comments come after former India captain Sunil Gavaskar also backed Rishabh Pant as the next Indian skipper.
It’s going to be quite a debate as far as the selection committee is concerned as to who should be taking Indian cricket forward. First of all, it should be someone who is an automatic pick across all formats of the game. Once that happens, it will be a lot easier,” Gavaskar told India Today.
“If you ask me, I am still saying, I would look at Rishabh Pant as next India captain.”
