Despite finishing as runners-up, India’s Virat Kohli has been adjudged the Man of the Series of the Cricket World Cup 2023. The ace Indian batter amassed 765 runs in the tournament and thereby became the first batter to cross 750 in the World Cup. With 6 fifties and 3 centuries to his name, King Kohli was a class apart from the rest.
Australian opener Travis Head who slammed a stunning 137-run knock in the IND vs AUS World Cup finals, was adjudged as the Man of the Match as he received his award from the great master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar. While BCCI Secretary Jay Shah awarded the runners-up medals to the Men in Blue it was the BCCI President Roger Binny who gave the Man of the Series award to Virat Kohli.
