Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s mainstay Virat Kohli is on the verge of etching his name into the record books yet again. As the IPL juggernaut rolls on, Kohli finds himself on the cusp of a remarkable feat ahead of their clash against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Saturday, April 6th.

Kohli, a legend of the game and a synonymous figure with RCB. The former RCB skipper has amassed a staggering 7890 runs at an average of 37.75 and at a strike rate of 131.23 of for the franchise in 247 T20 innings. If he manages to score just 110 more runs in the RR vs RCB clash, he will become the first player ever to score 8000 runs for a single team in the T20 format.

Among Indians, Kohli is joint-second on the list after Rohit Sharma (261) and alongside MS Dhoni (242). The Delhi-born batter is just a six away from surpassing former CSK captain Dhoni’s tally of IPL sixes and becoming the tournament’s fourth-highest six-hitter.
