Virat Kohli is all set for his Ranji Trophy comeback. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has named the former Indian captain in their squad against Railways. Earlier today, it was confirmed by Delhi’s head coach, Sarandeep Singh, that Kohli will practice with the team on January 28. Now that Delhi has named their squad, it’s been virtually confirmed that Kohli will come again to play for his state in domestic cricket.

Rishabh Pant to skip last round of Ranji Trophy
Rishabh Pant, who played against Saurashtra, hasn’t been named in the squad and therefore won’t feature. Pant had chosen to give the captaincy to Ayush Badoni, who has been leading Delhi for some time, and that will remain the same. Pant has been selected for the India vs. England ODI series and will now prioritise white-ball cricket with the ICC Champions Trophy approaching as well.
Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, and Yashasvi Jaiswal have also decided to skip the last round of the Ranji Trophy, while those who haven’t played in the red-ball tournament, KL Rahul and Kohli, will play at least one game after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made featuring in domestic cricket mandatory.
