After finally landing in India, star cricketer Virat Kohli met with his family ahead of his interaction with PM Narendra Modi on July 4 (Thursday). The Indian cricket team, alongside Virat Kohli, was given a hero’s welcome on the morning of Thursday as they brought home the T20 World Cup trophy, putting an end to an 11-year-old ICC trophy drought after defeating South Africa in Barbados on June 29.
The Indian team, along with the support staff, reached Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport after a delay due to the weather in the West Indies in the early morning of July 4, following a successful T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies where they won the trophy without losing a single game.
Virat Kohli meets Delhi family
After arriving at the IGI airport in Delhi, Kohli checked in at the ITC Maurya Hotel, and after resting for a while there, he will travel to the PM office to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with other members of India’s T20 World Cup 2024 winning team.
After Team India arrived in Delhi on Thursday, Virat Kohli’s family members, including his brother Vikas and sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, were seen in the hotel lobby waiting for an opportunity to meet the star cricketer and congratulate him on India’s T20 World Cup title win.
