Virat Kohli leaves for T20 World Cup, question over IND vs BAN warm-up participation still remains

Kohli was scheduled to travel to New York on May 25 along with the first batch of players, but for reasons unknown, the former skipper decided to stay back for five extra days.

Virat Kohli, the last member of India’s 15-man squad, has also left for the T20 World Cup. The star batter had decided to delay his departure to the USA after a long and tiring IPL 2024 season. The Indian contingent had decided to leave in two batches. The first, led by skipper Rohit Sharma, departed on May 25, and the second followed suit, leaving two days later.

Kohli had decided not to travel with either batch. He instead decided to stay back in India for a short period of time. This five-day delay allowed him to recharge his batteries and enjoy some valuable off-the-field time with his family and friends. However, now that he’s leaving for the T20 World Cup, we’ll see an energetic and ferocious Virat Kohli who’s ready to take on every challenge and opposition.
