Virat Kohli inspired Sri Lankan young cricketers with valuable insights before the IND vs PAK Super-4 clash in Asia Cup 2023.

India star batter Virat Kohli had an inspiring interaction with aspiring young cricketers in Sri Lanka on Friday, where he shared his valuable experiences and insights. The interaction was captured in a video shared by the BCCI on their Twitter page. This motivating encounter comes ahead of the high-voltage IND vs PAK clash in the Super-4 stage of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, scheduled for September 10. Watch the video below.

Virat Kohli was seen discussing aspects of cricket with the youngsters, including the significance of preparation and maintaining top-notch fitness levels. He also stressed the importance of paying attention to small aspects in the game to gain a competitive edge.

India will be eager to kickstart their Super-4 campaign with a strong showing against their long-standing rivals, Pakistan, in Colombo. Their group-stage encounter against Pakistan last week in Pallekele was marred by rain, resulting in a no-result as the match was abandoned without any play in the second innings.

Following this rain-affected match against Pakistan, India secured their place in the Super-4 stage by defeating Nepal with a convincing 10-wicket victory through the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method.

Insidesport

Regrettably, the much anticipated India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match in Colombo may be affected by adverse weather conditions, as there is a significant chance of rain. To account for this, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has designated September 11 as a backup day for this highly anticipated showdown.

Consequently, if rain disrupts the game on Sunday, it will resume from the point of interruption on Monday. Unfortunately, the weather forecast for Colombo on both of these days does not appear favorable.

The weather forecast for Colombo on both days is rather bleak, with thunderstorms predicted and a high likelihood of precipitation, reaching as high as 93 percent. Given these conditions, it’s highly improbable that a complete 50-over per side game will be possible even if the match is extended to the reserve day on Monday.

In the unfortunate event that the match is called off due to the weather, both teams will get one point each. In such scenario, Pakistan will maintain their top position in the Super 4 standings.
