As far as the match is concerned, Australia opted to bat first on a relatively better wicket at the Dubai International Stadium, they were bundled out for 264. Mohammed Shami was the pick of the bowlers, as he returned with figures of 3/48. Come the chase, India were in a spot of bother at 43/2, but from there on Virat and Shreyas Iyer came up with a stand of 91 runs. The latter chipped in with 45, then Axar Patel also got 27, followed by KL Rahul who scored an unbeaten 42.
