India cricket team head coach is all set to sit down for a chat with captain Rohit Sharma soon. The former Indian cricketer had a free-wheeling chat with Virat Kohli ahead of the IND vs BAN 1st Test where they discussed a variety of topics, ranging from Gambhir missing out on his hundred in the finals of the 2011 ODI World Cup to Kohli taking over the Test captaincy at 25 years of age.

At the end of the chat between Gambhir and Kohli, the former informs that the next interview would be with captain Rohit Sharma. The Indian coach goes on to ask Virat what should he ask the ‘Hitman’ when they sit down together. Kohli jokingly replied asking if Rohit managed to eat soaked almonds in the morning. Gambhir added to the fun by asking Rohit if 11 AM will become 11 PM when he decides to show up for the interview.

Although Gambhir’s first assignment as India coach with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the squad came in the IND vs SL ODI series, the series against Bangladesh will be his first one at home. The veteran duo linked up with the rest of the Test team in Chennai on September 12 for a preparatory camp before the 1st IND vs BAN Test which will begin on September 19. India are gearing up for a fresh Test season where they have 10 games and a potential World Test Championship (WTC) final lined-up.
