Virat Kohli, the star Indian batter, capped off a whirlwind day by flying to London after Mumbai’s victory parade to reunite with his wife Anushka Sharma and their children.
Marathon day for Virat Kohli
Following India’s T20 World Cup victory, the team embarked on a busy schedule. They landed in Delhi on July 4th, met with Prime Minister Modi, and then flew to Mumbai for the victory parade and celebrations at the Wankhede Stadium.
Virat Kohli, despite the late hour, prioritized family and rushed to the airport after the celebrations to catch a flight to London. Reportedly Anushka Sharma and her kids Vaamika and Akaay are currently in London.

While Anushka Sharma was present during India’s matches in the USA, she wasn’t able to join the team in the West Indies. She traveled to the UK with their children, Vaamika and Akaay, leaving Kohli to focus on the tournament.
Delhi-Mumbai-London in One Day for Virat Kohli
The travel demands on Kohli are significant. He flew 16 hours to reach Delhi, then on to Mumbai, and finally embarked on a long-haul flight to London – all within a single day.
Anushka Sharma influence: Patience is virtue
Despite a challenging run in the tournament with only 75 runs in the initial seven games, Virat Kohli rose to the occasion in the final. He smashed a match-winning 76 runs off 59 balls and was named Man of the Match. It was reported that he video-called his family immediately after the victory.
Kohli has openly credited his wife Anushka for her positive influence, particularly on his ability to remain patient. “The patience bit I have learnt ever since me and Anushka met each other,” he said in a 2022 interview. “Looking at her composure in situations has really inspired me to fight it out.”
Celebration incomplete, but family awaits
While the victory parade marked a joyous occasion for the Indian team, Virat Kohli’s celebration was cut short. However, the opportunity to reunite with his family in London undoubtedly provided a heartwarming conclusion to a momentous day.
