Virat Kohli: There is no doubt that Virat Kohli’s fitness levels are best. Apart from cricketers raving about the legendary batter’s work ethics, Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty also feels Kohli is the fittest cricketer. While KL Rahul may be his son-in-law, senior Shetty admitted that Kohli is at another level. However, the Bollywood actor said that he trains with Rahul just to know his methods and workouts.
“I want to know what an athlete eats. I jam with Rahul to understand how he keeps that energy up and what happens after a test match of five days or one-day tournaments or a T20. I learn about the differences, the energy levels required, and the muscles that are engaged,” Sunil Shetty said to News18.

While Sunil Shetty himself is pretty fitness-conscious person and does not look like 61, he states it’s important to keep up with this generation’s training methods and mentality. Not only the senior Shetty trains with Rahul, but he also jams with his son Ahan Shetty.
“I train with Ahan and Rahul as much to understand their kind of training because it’s absolutely different. Athletes train on a completely different level. We, actors, train to beautify our bodies, but they’re trying to take it to the next level. Fielding and batting and their speed have changed completely. Learning from him is my biggest lesson,” he says.
Speaking about Kohli, he has revolutionized the fitness culture in cricket. For 10 years, the right-hand batter is very particular in his training and eating habits. The 35-year-old always stresses the importance of having a leg day every day, irrespective of the other routine he does.
Ahead of the second Test against West Indies, Kohli shared a training video wherein he was seen doing squats along with a dumbbell. “My go-to exercise for mobility plus strength? Goblet squats,” Kohli’s post read.
