Virat Kohli’s vacation ends, joins Team India for ODI series vs Sri Lanka

Virat Kohli, who announced his retirement from T20Is after the World cup, will return to the Indian set-up for the ODI series against Sri Lanka

India cricket team batting maestro Virat Kohli has landed in Sri Lanka for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka. The former India skipper was on a vacation post the T20 World Cup victory in the Caribbean islands. A month after India’s historic win, King Kohli rejoins the Indian camp who look to stamp their authority in the 50-over format series, similar to how they did so in the T20Is.

Virat Kohli accepts Gambhir’s request

As per reports, it was new India coach Gautam Gambhir’s request to the trio of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah to end their vacation early and take part in the series against Sri Lanka. Having retired from T20Is after India’s 2nd World cup win, Kohli obliged and made himself available for the tournament.

  • 2nd ODI – 4th August (August 4)
  • 3rd ODI – 7th August (August 7)
