Virat Kohli creates history in Australia with 100, overtakes Sachin Tendulkar’s record

Virat Kohli ended his century drought with a brilliant knock in Perth, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's record for most centuries by an Indian batter in Australia.

India’s star batter once again proved why he is called “the King”. After 375 days, Virat Kohli finally scored an international century, and it came in Australia. During the first IND vs AUS Test in Perth, Kohli smashed a brilliant century in the second innings. This century held special meaning as fans were eagerly waiting for him to make a comeback, especially after a forgettable 2024 in terms of international cricket. His last century before this was during the ODI World Cup 2023 semi-finals against New Zealand.

Kohli surpasses Tendulkar in Australia

With this amazing knock, Virat Kohli has surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record. Kohli now holds the record for the most centuries by an Indian batter in Australia, with seven centuries. Earlier, he was tied with Tendulkar at six centuries each. This milestone further cements Kohli’s place as one of the greatest batters in cricket history.
