Could Virat Kohli miss the India vs. Pakistan match? The former Indian captain was captured entering the ICC Academy in Dubai for training with an ice pack on his left ankle. Kohli had arrived at practice three hours earlier than the scheduled time to prepare for the high-octane Champions Trophy clash.
Virat Kohli injured for India vs Pakistan match?
Kohli was out of form and thought that he needed to hone his skills for the India vs. Pakistan match. The star batter looked out of colour and wanted to be at his best against Mohammad Rizwan’s Pakistan. Well, it turns out the move may have backfired.
Mind you, Kohli was ruled out with an injury on the same leg in the India vs. England 1st ODI earlier this month. That was a knee injury, and this is an ankle one, but it doesn’t bode well for the Indian team or Kohli.

If Virat Kohli’s out with injury, who’ll replace him?
Mind you, there is no replacement for the number three batter. Rishabh Pant is the only other option in the 15-man squad, and according to India’s vice-captain Shubman Gill, he may be out of the India vs. Pakistan match with viral fever as well.
If, unfortunately, Kohli doesn’t play, Team India might have to call either Shivam Dube or Yashasvi Jaiswal to Dubai for their services. The all-rounder and batter are part of India’s non-travelling reserves, and now that their Ranji Trophy campaign is over, they’ll be available for selection. However, Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir would hope that it doesn’t come to this.
