Virat Kohli has arrived in Kanpur for the IND vs BAN 2nd Test match. Rishabh Pant, India’s star from the first Test, was also spotted at the airport alongside head coach Gautam Gambhir.
Team India is leading the series 1-0 and will look to clinch a whitewash against Bangladesh on September 27 at Green Park Stadium.
However, Kohli and Co. will be surrounded by heavy security due to a ‘security threat’ ahead of the match, as some groups are protesting in the city.
Virat Kohli arrives first to prepare for the 2nd Test
Kohli did not have an ideal performance in the 1st Test, as it was his first match back in Test cricket since March 2024. The Indian stalwart faced criticism for not participating in the domestic tournament before the series, which some attributed to his struggles. However, Virat began preparing for the next match during the previous one. Now that he has arrived in the city, he will train hard to regain his form.
Rohit Sharma to arrive soon
Rohit Sharma will be traveling from Mumbai and could arrive in Kanpur today or tomorrow. Sharma also struggled in the first Test and will be looking to find his form at Green Park Stadium.
