India cricket team batter Virat Kohli is eager to break free from the shackles of poor form and what better venue to do it than the MCG. The former Indian skipper, who has looked like he has been out of touch, admitted that he wasn’t disciplined enough so far in Australia. With just one century to his name so far, Kohli has witnessed consistent failures and has been unable to solve his “outside the off stump” problem.

Virat Kohli gearing to go in Boxing Day Test
Speaking to former India coach Ravi Shastri ahead of the Boxing Day Test, Virat said that his last three innings did not go the way he wanted to. Admitting that he wasn’t disciplined enough to grind it out in the middle, he noted that the conditions in MCG were very different for this game compared to what he has played in earlier. He stated that he was very proud of himself for being able to embrace the challenges posed by Test cricket and counter them effectively.
“I agree. The last two or three innings hasn’t gone the way I wanted it to. I haven’t been disciplined enough to stick in there and grind it out. And that’s the challenge that Test cricket brings,” Virat Kohli said.
