Sarfaraz Khan has been making the headlines after getting his maiden call-up in India’s Test team. It remains to be seen if the 26-year old gets his chance to feature in the IND vs ENG 2nd Test. It is a direct face off between him and Rajat Patidar in the team. Ahead of the match, Sarfaraz has went on to claim who is his favorite cricketer.
Sarfaraz went on to claim that he likes watching Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers. He even went on to claim he likes Sir Vivian Richards and star English batter Joe Root.
“I like to watch Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Sir Vivian Richards, and even Javed Miandad because my dad has told me that I play like him. I watch Joe Root’s batting also,” Sarfaraz told JioCinema.
The domestic cricket monster revealed how his father has helped him growing in cricket. He revealed that his father has claimed his batting style is a lot identical to that of Javed Miandad.
“Anyone who is succeeding, I am watching them to see how they are doing it so I can learn and apply it when I am in the middle. I want to continue doing this, whether it’s in the Ranji Trophy or playing for India in the future,” Sarfaraz concluded.
