While Anushka was super proud of Kohli’s terrific hundred, Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to appreciate the right-hand batter for surpassing Ponting. Kohli is now just behind Tendulkar’s 100 hundreds of most centuries in international cricket. Currently, the 34-year-old has 44 ODI centuries, 27 Test hundreds, and one T20I hundred.

IND vs BAN: Kohli comes roaring back to form in ODI cricket
Kohli at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium also completed 1,000 ODI runs in Bangladesh. This was also Kohli’s fourth ODI hundred against Bangladesh and his sixth overall on their soil. His highest score in ODIs in Bangladesh came against Pakistan in 2012.
Kohli, who wasn’t in his best shape for a long time, has now found his mojo again. He concluded the Asia Cup 2022 as the second-highest run-scorer with 276 runs from five innings, including a century against Afghanistan. It was his 71st century in international cricket and his first-ever T20I century.
